Last saw this poor man taking a walk with his daughter, he must be fifty and she probably twenty, Five years later, saw the same man, but not with the same girl beside, Heard he got rich, married a girl his daughter’s age; he is now fifty-five and she looks probably twenty. Is it, isn’t it! He laughs, but I know he is not happy. She cries, but is happy deep within. She thanked me, but I know she didn’t mean it.
